BECE IN WEST GONJA DISTRICT

The District Coordinating Director Mr. S.Y Inusah accompanied by the District Director of Education Mr. Charles Akatuk and some officials visited the two Centers where candidates were undertaking their Basic Education Certificate Examination.

The visit was part of efforts to observed situations at the examination centres.

Mr. Charles Akatuk expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the examination.
According to him the atmosphere was calm and the invigilators were working very hard to avoid any examination malpractice.

He added that security personal were also present to ensure law and order.

According to the district supervisor Mr. Albert Bonah, 922 candidates were registered in the district.

At the Damongo Senior High School centre, 690 candidates from 15 schools were registered, out of which 365 were boys and 325 were girls.

At the Daboya centre, 232 candidates from 5 schools were registered out of which 96 represented girls and 136 were boys.

Two and one candidates were absent at the Damongo and Daboya centres respectively. This brings to the total number of absenteeism to three.

The examination started in time and no incidence of any examination malpractice was been recorded.
