The centre encourages schools within the community to hold practical sessions of their normal school ICT period here. This measure goes a long way to support schools who have no computers to aid the teaching of ICT. We believe that this avenue offers the chance for most of the students to see a computer for the first time or having first time access to it. Tutors of
ICT come along with their students according to a specially-designed schedule. It is evident that student interest in the subject soars tremendously when they are sitting in front of the computer rather than studying it in the classroom. Various challenges such as securing transportation for schools situated far away from the centre, need to be addressed in the near future.
