FROM "WOYOMISATION" TO "JOBILIZATION"—Mahamaudu Bawumiah.

If the people of Damongo were to cast the presidential vote yesterday (21 May, 2011), Nana Akuffo Addo would have gotten an upper hand in the district.

As part of the N. P. P’s Presidential Candidate Nana Akuffo Addo’s Hope Restoration Tour, the capital of West Gonja District, Damongo saw, an incredible prospect when all activities were halt, just to welcome Nana Akuffo  Addo and his running mate  Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

The two with other political leaders including, N.P. P. National  Women's Organizer Madam Otiko  DJaba, former Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Mustahpa Iddrisu  and the aspiring  M. P for West Gonja District Hon Albert Kassim Dewura were in Damongo to pay a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura the King of Gonja land.

As the saying goes, make hay whiles the sun shine, Nana has taken the good opportunity,  to brief out his campaign message to  party sympathizers.

In Ghana, no politician speaks without the issues of the opponent left out. Nana in his delivery, said, President John Evans Atta Mills have made vague promises  to Ghanaians that he was not able to fulfill.

However, unfortunately, for Ghanaians, what the Kufour Administration has done in the past years has also been destroyed; he referred to the   Ghana Educational System and the National Health Insurance Scheme which has fully been deteriorated.

He also made mention of how the Atta Mills government promise to put money into the pocket of Ghanaians but created holes in their pockets instead.

Moreover, Nana cannot sit down without making his agenda known to the audience; he stated that, he has three important things to give to Ghanaians if given the presidential mandate. Better Educational systems, job creation and transparent Government were his concrete offers for Ghanaians.

The Ghanaian educational system is his priority, he promised of making the educational system flexible to all and sundry to be enroll into.  He promised to make the Senior High Education free for Ghanaians. As to how he will achieve it, he has finally revealed that, the measures the Kufour Administration used to achieve the success of the NHIS,  will also be used to make the free S. H. S possible.
Nana Addo said, he is not going to tolerate any woyome's scandal in his government but there is going to be clean, fair and transparent administration. He therefore pleaded with people of Damongo to vote for him in the 2012 December elections in order to make life easier and better for them.

Nonetheless, His running mate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, said the N. P. P ticket is a reflection of National Unity, that is Christians and Muslims will become one to give a better ruling to Ghana.

He expressed bitterly about how the NDC Government have decided to manage the economy with propaganda.   ‘’ As knowledgeable in managing the economy, we are moving Ghana from ‘Woyomisation’ to ‘ Jobilization’. We make sure we create a stable economy and a good environment, for everybody to work and be happy” he said.

Dr. Bawumia said, Ghanaians are not ready for a government that creates better condition for a few, but government that create a better condition for all, and the NPP government is ready to give all Ghanaians a better living condition.

Nana Akuffo Addo and his running mate Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia then moved ahead with the district tour, to visit the Damongo Senior High School and a nearby community called Larabanga.
